Palermo midfielder Josip Ilicic has turned down an offer from Dynamo Kiev to join them in January.
The 24-year-old's agent insists that the Slovenia international wants to continue his career at the Italian club.
"It's all true," Amir Ruznic told Calciomercato. "Dynamo made him an offer that would be difficult for any player to refuse.
"But Josip has said no because he wants to stay at Palermo and help steer the Rosanero ship into calmer waters. The player's desire is to stay in Sicily and in Italy in the future should the day arrive when president Maurizio Zamparini decides to sell him.
"My client has a strong bond with the Rosanero fans and he doesn't want to betray them for money."
Ilicic joined Palermo from Maribor in 2010.
