Parma punish lowly Pescara

Parma complete a comfortable 3-0 win over lowly Pescara thanks to goals from Yohan Benalouane, Gabriel Paletta and Amauri.

Parma have recorded a comfortable 3-0 victory this afternoon to leave Pescara rooted to the foot of Serie A.

The home side took the lead inside 20 minutes when Yohan Benalouane headed home unmarked into the bottom corner after meeting a curling corner from Sotiris Ninis.

Pescara were unable to mount a response before the break and were forced to hang on as Parma kept attacking in numbers.

The pressure finally told seven minutes after the restart as Gabriel Paletta prodded home from close range.

Elvis Abbruscato spurned a glorious chance to reduce the deficit soon after as he headed wide with the goal at his mercy.

Parma punished that miss to make the game safe with the last goal of the match, an acrobatic volley on the turn.
