Three clubs in the EFL are reportedly monitoring the development of Tamworth midfielder Jamie Jellis.

Peterborough United, Wycombe Wanderers and Notts County are all reportedly interested in signing Tamworth midfielder Jamie Jellis.

Although the 22-year-old spent time with the Leicester City academy and Stevenage, he failed to make the breakthrough and subsequently dropped down to non-league.

However, it is in the National League North where he had really made his name, helping division newcomers Tamworth sit at the top of the table.

Jellis has contributed one goal from his 17 appearances in the sixth tier this season, with his performances allegedly catching the eye of a number of EFL clubs.

According to Football Insider, Jellis is attracting interest from League One and League Two.

In recent seasons, Peterborough have acquired a number of players from non-league and helped develop them into first-team players, and that may be their plan here if a deal can be negotiated with Tamworth.

At a time when Posh sit in fifth place in League One, Wycombe occupy 12th position and could rival their fellow third-tier outfit for his signature.

Notts County, who are enjoying a strong first campaign back in League Two, have knowledge of the National League, albeit in the main division rather than the division below.

Nevertheless, they have seemingly been left impressed by the progress of Jellis as they contemplate how to strengthen their squad in January.

From Tamworth's perspective, the Staffordshire outfit may be prepared to hold out on offers to boost their hopes of a second successive promotion.
