Philadelphia Union and 10-man Houston Dynamo have played out a goalless draw at the PPL Park in the MLS Eastern Conference.
The visitors were unfortunate not to take a first-half lead through Will Bruin, whose thumping shot cannoned off the post on 38 minutes.
The Union should have broken the deadlock early in the second half as Conor Casey, with the goal at his mercy, failed to convert into an open net as defender Jermaine Taylor got across to block the effort.
Dynamo were presented with an uphill task to earn a draw on 82 minutes as Kofi Sarkodie was issued with a second yellow card for time-wasting by referee Armando Villarreal.
The hosts had minimal time to capitalise on their numerical advantage, though, and Houston held on to earn a point.
