Plymouth Argyle striker Deane Smalley has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a serious knee injury.
The 26-year-old, who has scored two goals this term, suffered the problem during a training session last week.
Smalley will now undergo surgery after scans revealed that he has damaged both the cruciate ligament and cartilage in his right knee.
The forward joined Plymouth on a two-year deal in the summer following his release from Oxford United.
Plymouth are back in League Two action on Saturday when they travel to Northampton Town.
