Poland's World Cup plans have been dealt a blow after defender Kamil Glik was ruled out of the tournament.
Since making his debut in 2010, Glik has established himself as a key man in the centre of Poland's backline and had been expected to start for his country at this summer's tournament.
However, on Monday, the Monaco player suffered an injury to his shoulder when attempting a bicycle kick in training and has subsequently been sidelined for the competition in Russia.
Marcin Kaminski - who represents German outfit Stuttgart - had been on standby and is expected to be one of Adam Nawalka's backup players.
Poland have been paired with Colombia, Senegal and Japan in the group stages.
