Toronto FC have been held to a 2-2 draw at home to the Portland Timbers at the BMO Field.
Portland started the better of the two sides and the visitors were ahead after 21 minutes when Salvatore Zizzo finished well from close range after some poor defending from Toronto.
The hosts struggled to recover from the goal and Portland could have taken advantage by extending their lead before the interval but the Canadian side held on.
Toronto took control at the beginning of the second half and came close to equalising when Ty Harden saw his header saved well by Donovan Ricketts.
Eric Hassli did find the crucial goal to level the match on 57 minutes as the striker calmly placed his shot past Ricketts.
The complexion of the match was completely changed six minutes later as Hassli's strike partner, Luis Silva, finished a flowing Toronto move from close range.
However, a header from Darlington Nagbe with eight minutes remaining was enough to earn the Timbers a draw from their trip to Canada.
