Stoke City are through to the third round of the League Cup after a 3-0 win over Portsmouth at the Britannia Stadium this evening.
Jonathan Walters struck twice before Peter Crouch netted late on as Mark Hughes's side eased past Andy Awford's charges.
Walters had his first on 15 minutes when he stole in ahead of goalkeeper Paul Jones before prodding home, and the lively striker had his second moments after the restart.
Victor Moses, who was making his first start for the Potters, crossed for his teammate and Walters netted from close range to double the lead.
Crouch then put the gloss on the result in the 90th minute when he headed home.
