Portsmouth administrator Trevor Birch has revealed that the club intend to sell the League One outfit to the fans.
The financially-stricken club have announced that the Pompey Supporters' Trust has emerged as the preferred bidder.
It has been confirmed that the administrators from PKF will work alongside the Supporters' Trust to save the club from liquidation.
The former Championship outfit fell into administration for the second time in February this year.
