Portsmouth manager Guy Whittingham has spoken of his relief following Saturday's 2-1 win over Crewe Alexandra in League One.
Patrick Agyemang and David Connolly were on target at Gresty Road to give Pompey their first victory in 23 matches.
"There is a huge sense of relief," Whittingham told Sky Sports News. "We didn't like to say it, but we felt it was building and the team was starting to gel so to come away and get that first win in many a while is just great.
"You can't be happier for anyone than the fans who have been superb again - they haven't stopped singing and this is as much for them as for the players."
The win has moved bottom-placed Portsmouth to within 11 points of safety.
