Sports Mole looks at how Portugal could line up in their Euro 2024 qualification clash with Iceland.

Portugal boss Roberto Martinez is expected to make changes to his side for Sunday's Euro 2024 qualification clash with Iceland in Lisbon.

The Iberian nation have a perfect record in Group J, winning all nine of their matches to collect 27 points, which has guaranteed their spot in Pot 1 for the draw for the European Championship.

Portugal beat Liechtenstein 2-0 on Thursday, with Martinez selecting an unorthodox lineup and group of players, with Ruben Neves playing in the middle of the defence.

Diogo Costa is likely to be back in goal for this match, while there could be three changes at the back, with Ruben Dias, Goncalo Inacio and Raphael Guerreiro potentially all coming in for starts.

Joao Palhinha is also set to be introduced in the middle of midfield, but the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, Joao Felix and Diogo Jota could keep their spots, as Martinez is building patterns of play for next summer's European Championship.

Cristiano Ronaldo made it 10 goals in the qualification section by registering against Liechtenstein, and having been withdrawn in the 67th minute of that match, it would not be a surprise to see him start again here.

Ricardo Horta, Vitinha and Bruma should also be involved at some stage of the contest.

Matheus Nunes, Pepe, Rafael Leao and Nelson Semedo are notable absentees from the international squad due to injuries, while Diogo Dalot withdrew ahead of the Liechtenstein clash for personal reasons.
