Preston North End have confirmed that Calum Woods has extended his contract with the Championship club.
The 28-year-old, who has made 14 appearances this season, has committed his future to Deepdale until the summer of 2018.
"I'm delighted to have signed a new deal with the club and I'm looking forward to the next couple of seasons here," he told the club's official website.
"Last year was brilliant for everyone and it was great to be a part of that. We have a great group of lads and staff here."
Manager Simon Grayson added: ""Calum is the type of player that managers love to have in their squads. Wherever you ask him to play he will do a good job."
The Liverpool-born left-back joined North End on a free transfer from Huddersfield Town in 2014.
