Paris Saint-Germain forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has insisted that David Beckham's early performances have silenced any doubters over his move to Ligue 1.
Beckham started his first league game for PSG on Sunday and played 90 minutes as Carlo Ancelotti's side drew 2-2 at Saint-Etienne.
Ibrahomvic believes that Beckham has proved he can still operate at the top level and will provide important experience during their Champions League quarter-final against Barcelona next month.
He told The Sun: "I think anybody who thought David was past his best when he signed for us is now very quiet. That man on the pitch for us looked 25.
"Central midfield is the position where you need the most energy. He showed he is not only one of the best passers in the world but that he can still be tough in the tackle and run for 90 minutes.
"David will be so important for us in the Champions League. Not just on the pitch, but also off it. He has so much experience of playing in big Champions League games."
The 37-year-old has made four PSG appearances in all competitions since signing a short-team deal in January.
