David Beckham has reportedly lodged a request with Paris Saint-Germain's Qatari owners to help fund his Miami-based MLS franchise.
The former England captain ended his player career with PSG and maintains close ties with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
Beckham is hoping that his link to PSG will convince Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) to join forces with him and his backers Marcelo Claure and Simon Fuller to invest in the Florida-based team.
"Yes, David Beckham has asked us for help," Le Parisien quotes a QSI source as saying. "No decision has been taken yet."
Beckham's MLS venture will be finalised when he secures financial backing and a location to build a stadium.
