Ezequiel Lavezzi: 'Ligue 1 is too easy for Paris Saint-Germain'

Hebei China Fortune striker Ezequiel Lavezzi claims that he struggled for motivation while representing Paris Saint-Germain due to the poor quality in Ligue 1.

Ezequiel Lavezzi has blasted the quality of Ligue 1 in a dig at former club Paris Saint-Germain.

The Argentine joined PSG from Napoli in 2012 and won three league titles in France, while he also played a part in the French club's fourth straight crown, which was secured last weekend.

The 30-year-old swapped PSG for Chinese Super League team Hebei China Fortune in January and he has admitted that he struggled for motivation in Ligue 1.

"I did not like the Ligue 1. I do not find it motivating. That is the truth. PSG are so strong compared to the other teams. I do not really take pleasure in matches. Italy is different, you have eight big matches in a season but in France it is two," he told L'Equipe.

Lavezzi is believed to have turned down interest from England to make the move to China.
