Thiago Silva defends Paris Saint-Germain's performance against Rennes

Thiago Silva claims that Paris Saint-Germain's below-par performance in the 1-0 victory over Rennes should not be a cause for concern.

Thiago Silva has claimed that the three points were all that mattered following Paris Saint-Germain's 1-0 victory over Rennes on Friday evening.

Jeers could be heard from the home supporters as the champions struggled to secure the win, but Silva has insisted that he has no concerns about the performance.

"We struggled, especially in the opening 20 minutes," the Brazilian told reporters. "The most important thing was the victory, especially at this time in the season, and playing at home.

"We got three important points. No, we didn't win 5-0, but in the end, a win is a win and that's the main thing."

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was critical of some PSG fans when quizzed about their reaction to the performance.
