Unai Emery remains confident that Paris Saint-Germain can turn around their faltering Ligue 1 fortunes, insisting that he has the full support of the club's president.

Unai Emery has insisted that he is not on the brink of being sacked as Paris Saint-Germain manager, having been given the full backing of the club's demanding president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

The reigning Ligue 1 champions lost 2-1 to Guingamp on Saturday to make it four defeats for the season, leaving them four points off leaders Nice who have a game in hand to play.

Despite the growing pressure on Emery, who also failed to secure top spot in the Champions League after a shock home draw with minnows Ludogorets Razgrad earlier this month, the Spaniard is confident that he will be given time to turn things around at the Parc des Princes

"The championship lasts 38 games. We want to finish first and I think the team will change position, I am sure," he told beIN Sports "I spoke with the president before the match and after in the locker room. He's with us.

"It's tough for everybody, but it's football. Now we must work to regain confidence. Our first opportunity is Wednesday [against Lorient]."

Former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has reportedly already been lined up to replace Emery if results do not improve.
