Preview: Paris Saint-Germain vs. Montpellier HSC

Sports Mole takes a closer look at the two sides ahead of Saturday's Ligue 1 meeting between Paris Saint-Germain and Montpellier HSC.

A dramatic Ligue 1 title race continues this weekend as Paris Saint-Germain make the trip to face Montpellier on Saturday.

One point still separates PSG and leaders Marseille after both sides suffered defeat last Sunday, with Laurent Blanc's side falling to a 1-0 loss at home to Guingamp.

Blanc watched his side put the shock result behind them on Wednesday by beating Ajaccio 3-1 in the Coupe de la Ligue.

The next stop for PSG is to head into the winter break with a win, and they will go top if they win as Marseille do not meet Lille until Sunday afternoon.

Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were given the night off in the cup, but both are in line to return as Marquinhos and Ezequiel Lavezzi look set to be two of the players to drop out of the side.

Montpellier head into the weekend in ninth spot, but are short of confidence after failing to overcome a struggling Lens side in a dramatic 3-3 draw last Saturday.

Rolland Courbis is unlikely to make big changes to the side, but he is expected to be without the injured Jonas Martin, meaning that Souleymane Camara could return to the starting lineup.
