Paris Saint-Germain have handed Montpellier the initiative in the Ligue 1 title race after failing to win for the third consecutive league game and losing 2-1 away at Nancy.
The hosts took a deserved lead on 18 minutes after Yohan Mollo fed Bakaye Traore and the Mali international fired the ball into the bottom left corner.
Nancy could have doubled their advantage but Traore and Daniel Niculae were both denied by fine stops from PSG goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu.
The Parisiens rallied after the break and levelled when Mohamed Sissoko attacked Sylvain Armand's floated cross and planted a firm header low beyond Guy N'Dy.
As the visitors flooded forward in search of the win, they were caught on the break.
In the 89th minute, Mollo strode forward and unleashed a stinging left-footed pile-driver from 25 yards that nestled into the bottom right corner.
Montpellier now lead the table by a superior goal difference of five and also have a game in hand.
