Carlo Ancelotti's side now lead second-placed Lyon on goal difference, while they sit two points clear of Marseille.

The home side earned the victory in fortunate circumstances with an own goal from Aurelien Chedjou in the 68th minute.

Lille goalkeeper Steeve Elana saw his attempted punch strike his teammate on the chest before going in.
