Paris Saint-Germain president insists on Blaise Matuidi, Thiago Motta stay

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi insists that midfielder Blaise Matuidi and Thiago Motta will not leave the club this month.

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has insisted that neither Blaise Matuidi nor Thiago Motta will leave the club in January.

While Matuidi's current contract runs out at the end of the season, fellow midfielder Motta will become a free agent in 2015.

"I can confirm Thiago Motta and Blaise Matuidi will remain at Paris Saint-Germain," he told RMC.

"Blaise is very happy at PSG and if you ask Thiago Motta, he will tell you he wants to stay and finish his career at PSG. We talk with the players and their agents."

PSG are currently three points clear at the top of Ligue 1 after 19 rounds of matches.
