Queens Park Rangers captain Joey Barton has criticised the club's supporters for booing him during the West London side's victory over Liverpool.
The former Newcastle United midfielder was the subject of jeers from the home fans when he was substituted for Jamie Mackie in the 62nd minute during Rangers' 3-2 win over the Reds at Loftus Road last night.
Barton tweeted: "Disappointed with fans booing, we're meant to be in it together. They won't break me, guaranteed. I've been through much worse.
"I was awful tonight. Worst I've ever played in my career. But we won... and that's the most important thing. Onwards and upwards."
QPR have gained a renewed sense of hope after climbing out of the relegation zone with nine games left to go in the season.
