Queens Park Rangers captain Joey Barton has claimed that a number of Stoke City supporters threw coins at him during his side's 3-2 victory at the Britannia Stadium this afternoon.
The midfielder used Twitter to highlight the issue, saying: "Thanks to all the Stoke fans who threw money at me, whilst I was on corner duties. Its much appreciated, ill pass on to charity."
Barton also took the time the praise the performance of every Rangers player that featured today.
"Well that was a tough game," he added. "Great 3 pts. Great team performance. Every player to a man, stood up to be counted. Onwards and upwards!"
Barton joined Rangers during the summer from Newcastle United.
