Queens Park Rangers defender Clint Hill believes that he will be forced to re-establish his place in the team following the club's recent spending spree.
The West London club have already brought in six new faces to Loftus Road, despite the transfer window only being open for business for just over a fortnight.
"Every season is a test for me," the Daily Star quotes Hill as saying. "I've got to prove people wrong and give a good account of myself, which I'm willing to do.
"New players have come in and your place isn't guaranteed. But I'm ready for it. I worked hard and was rewarded with a new contract. I've got good experience from last season. Hopefully I can try and achieve half of what I did then."
One of Mark Hughes's acquisitions is Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-Sung.
