Queen Park Rangers defender Nedum Onuoha has admitted that he is hopeful of seeing Rio Ferdinand arrive at the club this summer.
Ferdinand, who has dismissed suggestions that he could announce his retirement soon, is searching for a new club after Manchester United decided against offering him a new contract.
The 35-year-old is believed to be a target for QPR ahead of their return to the Premier League, and Onuoha believes that he would add valuable experience to the squad.
"Someone like that - his track record speaks for itself and having played a good few games for Man U this year, and coming from there you would like to think you can pretty much play anywhere," Onuoha told Get West London.
Reports earlier this week suggested that Ferdinand had been offered a contract by QPR.
