Queens Park Rangers are reportedly set to announce the managerial appointment of Steve McClaren by Friday evening.
The former England manager worked as a coach at Loftus Road under Harry Redknapp in the summer of 2013, before leaving for Derby County that autumn.
Since his time at QPR, McClaren has had two spells at Derby, either side of a stint at Newcastle United, and most recently worked as a coaching consultant at Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv.
According to Sky Sports News, negotiations between QPR and McClaren's representatives are at an advanced stage, following the dismissal of Ian Holloway last week.
QPR relieved Holloway of his duties on Thursday after guiding the West London club to 16th in the Championship table.
