Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp is hopeful that striker Loic Remy will be fit enough to start their opening Premier League game next weekend.
The France international, who saw a move to Liverpool collapse earlier this month following a failed medical, has not featured for the R's since returning from the World Cup.
Despite his lack of match fitness, Redknapp remains confident that Remy could still play a part against Hull City.
"He's worked really hard on the training ground, I couldn't have asked for any more from him," Goal.com quotes Redknapp as saying.
"He's trained great and his attitude's been first class. Hopefully with a week's training he'll be fit to play next week."
QPR lost their final pre-season friendly 1-0 against Greek side PAOK this afternoon.
