Harry Redknapp has said that Queens Park Rangers can avoid relegation from the Premier League.
The former Tottenham and Portsmouth boss was confirmed as QPR's new manager this morning.
Redknapp told Sky Sports News: "I'll try [to keep QPR up], and if the players try as hard as well, we've got a big chance. That's what it's about.
"They haven't performed to their potential. They had a good manager in Mark Hughes and for whatever reason they just haven't got the result.
"We've got to make sure we pick up the results in the final two thirds of the season and get ourselves out of trouble."
Hughes was sacked yesterday, having failed to lead the Loftus Road side to a win this season.
QPR face Manchester United at Old Trafford this afternoon.
