Neil Warnock close to QPR dismissal?

QPR owner Tony Fernandes is reportedly considering giving Neil Warnock the axe.

Queens Park Rangers manager Neil Warnock could face the sack from Loftus Road as club owner Tony Fernandes is reportedly in doubt over the 63-year-old's ability to keep Rangers in the Premier League.

The former Crystal Palace manager is believed to have been handed a £20m transfer kitty but the Malaysian tycoon could freeze funds if he decides that Warnock isn't the right man for QPR, according to the Daily Star.

It is understood that Fernandes is concerned that the West London side may slip into a relegation battle following a run of disappointing defeats.

Despite strengthening in the summer by bringing in the likes of Joey Barton and Shaun Wright-Phillips, the former Championship side sit 17th in the league table, just one point clear of the drop zone.
