Neil Warnock: 'Tim Sherwood can keep Queens Park Rangers up'

Former Queens Park Rangers boss Neil Warnock is confident that Tim Sherwood can keep the club in the Premier League if he takes charge at Loftus Road.

Former Queens Park Rangers manager Neil Warnock believes that Tim Sherwood is capable of keeping the club in the Premier League if he takes charge at Loftus Road.

The former Tottenham Hotspur boss is reportedly on the verge of becoming the club's new manager, after being heavily linked with the role since Harry Redknapp's resignation last week.

The Hoops are currently second-bottom in the table, but Warnock is convinced that Sherwood can lead them to safety.

"I think Tim has got a chance. Yes, they have not got any points away from home but the home record been fantastic and they are going to be playing a lot of lower teams away from home in the second half of the season," he told talkSPORT.

"I look at the bottom four and think it is going to be three of those four. It is going to be difficult but anybody that can put two or three wins together have got a chance.

"I wouldn't write QPR off. The fans get behind them at Loftus Road, they have just got to try and get one or two points away from home."

Chris Ramsey and Kevin Bond are currently in caretaker charge of the West Londoners.
