Leroy Fer: 'Queens Park Rangers will fight against Manchester City'

QPR midfielder Leroy Fer insists that he and his teammates will do all they can to beat Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Leroy Fer has insisted that Queens Park Rangers will do all that they can to earn a win against Manchester City tomorrow.

The R's, who are seven points adrift of safety, must beat City at the Etihad Stadium if they want to give themselves a realistic chance of staying in the Premier League.

While avoiding relegation is looking like an increasingly difficult task for the team, Fer believes that QPR can get the result they need against the former champions.

"We have to do everything to try to win the game," he told the club's official website. "It is not over until you are down. We must try to win the game. We also have to do everything we can not to concede an early goal because if they do that, they can just play around you and score more.

"They are a strong side and they have their form back, so it will be a hard game but we are fighting for something and will do our best to win the points. There have been four or five games recently that we have lost points very late. We have all been working really hard and doing everything we can to win these games. We have been unlucky, but also the bigger teams have the extra ability to win a game."

QPR have the worst away record in the Premier League this season, taking just seven points from a possible 51.
