Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton has denied rumours linking him with a loan move to Fleetwood Town.
Barton, 29, is currently training with the League Two side after claiming that he had lost his passion for football.
The controversial former England international was handed a 12-match ban, as well as being stripped of the captaincy and fined six weeks' wages by his club after being sent off in the final match of last season.
However, Barton is not yet ready to move down the divisions, claiming that he is simply enjoying training with Fleetwood at the moment.
"BBC news jumping the gun a bit. I've not signed for Fleetwood. Just currently enjoying training there..." he said on Twitter.
Barton could turn out for the Cod Army in a pre-season friendly against Tranmere Rovers on Saturday.
