Javier Chevanton released by Queens Park Rangers

Queens Park Rangers announce that striker Javier Chevanton has left Loftus Road.

Striker Javier Chevanton has been released from his contract at Queens Park Rangers.

Chevanton only arrived at Loftus Road in September, but after failing to make an impact at the Championship outfit, the club have announced that he won't be signing a new deal with Harry Redknapp's side.

A club statement read: "Striker Javier Chevanton has left Loftus Road following the conclusion of his short-term contract. The club would like to wish Javier all the best for the future."

The former Uruguay international played just 21 minutes during his three-month spell at the club.
