QPR owner Tony Fernandes has played down rumours that the London club are interested in bringing David Beckham back to the Premier League.
The Malaysian tycoon has spoke of interest in the 36-year-old LA Galaxy star in the past but now says it is unlikely the former Manchester United man will turn out at Loftus Road.
"Our strongest area is midfield right now so I'm not even sure where Beckham would fit in," Fernandes told BBC Sport.
"He appears happy where he is so that's a long-shot. But never say never."
Rangers have had an indifferent start to life in the Premier League and currently lie 12th in the table.
