Queens Park Rangers have reportedly identified Dwight Gayle as one of the players to lead their quest to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking next season.
Despite the fact that Peterborough United were relegated to League One, 22-year-old Gayle is thought to have impressed a number of clubs with his 13-goal contribution.
One of those teams is QPR, whose manager Harry Redknapp watched Gayle in action at the weekend, according to the Fulham Chronicle.
The report went on to claim that the R's will have to pay more than the £500,000 that Gayle cost Peterborough in November last year from Dagenham & Redbridge.
