Rangers striker Andy Little to undergo surgery today

Rangers announce that Andy Little will undergo surgery today after breaking his right cheekbone and jaw during his side's win over Dunfermline last night.

Rangers have announced that striker Andy Little will have an operation today after breaking his right cheekbone and jaw last night.

The 24-year-old was forced off the field on a stretcher after he collided with Dunfermline Athletic full-back Alex Whittle in yesterday's 3-1 win for Rangers.

After being taken off the pitch, Little was transported to Southern General Hospital by ambulance and underwent further medical tests.

The Scottish club have claimed that Little will not return to action until 2014.
