Rangers striker Francisco Sandaza has been ruled out until the end of the year after suffering a broken cheekbone.
The Spaniard sustained the injury during Wednesday's 2-0 win over Motherwell in the Scottish League Cup.
"Sandaza now faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines and the minimum amount of time such injuries keep a player out is eight weeks," read a statement on the Gers' official website.
"More realistically, however, it is anticipated he will miss the rest of the calendar year as he sets out on the long road to recovery."
Sandaza has scored one goal in eight games for Rangers this season following his summer move from St Johnstone.
