Rangers advance past Elgin City

Rangers score three times to knock Elgin City out of the Scottish Cup at Ibrox.

Scottish third division side Rangers have progressed through to the fifth round of the Scottish Cup courtesy of three unanswered goals against Elgin City.

Despite dominating the tie from the outset, it took hosting Rangers until the 43rd minute to break the deadlock. Dean Shiels was the scorer, poking the ball into the net from six yards out following a pass from Kevin Kyle.
