Rangers draw with rock-bottom Livingston

Rangers draw with rock-bottom Livingston as Ibra Sekajja cancels out Haris Vuckic's early opener.

Rangers failed to reduce the gap to second-place Hibernian as they could only manage a draw with rock-bottom Livingston in the Scottish Championship.

On-loan Newcastle United midfielder Haris Vuckic put Rangers ahead in the ninth minute after he was put through one-on-one with Livingston keeper Darren Jamieson.

Despite dominating possession in the first half, the home side conceded on the stroke of half time as Ibra Sekajja tapped in a rebounded shot to make it 1-1.

Stuart McCall's side started the second half the brighter and even had the ball in the back of the net, but Nicky Clark's header was ruled out for offside.

The newly-appointed Gers boss picks up a point in his first game in charge of the club, with Livingston slightly reducing the gap to Alloa Athletic above them.
