Team News: Tom Walsh, Jason Holt start for Rangers

Mark Warburton makes two changes to his Rangers side for their Scottish Championship match against St Mirren.

Mark Warburton has made two changes to his Rangers starting lineup for their first match of the Scottish Championship season against St Mirren.

Tom Walsh makes his first start of the campaign, while Jason Holt returns after sitting out last week's match against Peterhead, leaving Dean Shiels and David Templeton to drop to the bench.

Meanwhile, the visitors have handed starts to three of their summer signings as they begin their first season in the second tier in a decade.

Stuart Carswell, Paul McMullan and Luke Conlan all make their first league appearances for the club, while Cameron Howieson and Calum Gallagher, who joined from Rangers earlier this week, are on the bench.

St Mirren: Ridgers; Naismith, Kelly, Baird, Conlan, Carswell, Howieson, Mallan; McMullan, Thompson
