Mikele Leigertwood has insisted that Reading are capable of bouncing back from their Capital One Cup exit when they face Queens Park Rangers on Sunday.
The Royals were on the wrong end of a remarkable 7-5 scoreline against Arsenal on Tuesday evening but Leigertwood believes that result will not affect the team when they travel to Loftus Road.
"Arsenal are a good side and if we don't do the stuff that we're good at, then we'll get punished — unfortunately that was the case in the second half," admitted Leigertwood. "The QPR match will be a test but we've shown time and time again that we can bounce back.
"There's no reason why we can't go and get a positive result on Sunday.
"They've spent a lot of money over the summer but things aren't clicking for them. But we're not worried about them — we focus on ourselves."
Neither Reading nor QPR have won in the Premier League this season.
