Reading have confirmed that Dutch winger Roy Beerens has joined Eredivisie club Vitesse for an undisclosed fee.
The 30-year-old returns to his native Netherlands, penning a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Arnhem-based team.
Beerens joined Reading from Hertha Berlin in July 2016, making 63 appearances and scoring nine goals under manager and compatriot Jaap Stam.
The Dutchman has however struggled for game time this term, making just nine starts, prompting the club to part ways with the twice-capped player.
Vitesse currently sit sixth in the Dutch top flight and host Groningen on Friday night.
