Glenn Murray completes late Reading switch

Crystal Palace striker Glenn Murray joins Reading on loan until January.

Crystal Palace have announced that striker Glenn Murray has joined Reading on loan until January.

The 30-year-old beat the clock to seal his move to the Madejski Stadium before the transfer window closed at 11pm tonight.

Murray, who struck 30 times in the Championship to help Palace win promotion via the playoffs in 2013, becomes the Royals' fifth and final signing of the window.

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Kevin Doyle replaces Murray at Selhurst Park after the Irishman also completed a late five-month loan deal.
