Real Madrid Castilla climb off bottom

Real Madrid Castilla climb off the foot of the Segunda Division table with a resounding victory against fellow strugglers Hercules.

Real Madrid Castilla have climbed off the bottom of the Segunda Division table by comfortably beating Hercules 4-0 at home.

Castilla, who picked up their first three points of 2014 by defeating Alcorcon last time out, took the lead after 22 minutes courtesy of Derik Osede's goal.

Raul de Tomas added a second before half time, before midfielder Jose Rodriguez added a third to all but end the game as a contest.

Hercules, who have now lost their last four matches, conceded a fourth with minutes remaining when Lucas Vazquez found the target.

Monolo Diaz's side are back in action next Sunday when they face Mirandes.
