Real Madrid Castilla see off Barcelona B in bad-tempered match

Real Madrid Castilla record a comprehensive 3-1 victory over Barcelona B in today's ill-tempered Segunda Division clash at the Estadio Alfredo di Stefano.

Real Madrid Castilla have recorded a comprehensive 3-1 victory over Barcelona B in today's Segunda Division clash at the Estadio Alfredo di Stefano.

In an ill-tempered game that saw eight yellow cards and two sending-offs, Denis Suarez opened the scoring for the away side with less than 10 minutes to go in the first half, thanks to a shot from outside the box.

Castilla, however, equalised just a minute later, thanks to Bargui's effort, and the home side ensured that they would go in at the break a goal up with a header from Sergio Aguza right at the end of the first period.

On the hour mark, Edu Bedia was booked for a handball in the box, which gave Castilla the chance to build on their advantage with a penalty. Omar Mascarell made no mistake from six yards.

The tackles kept flying, as did the bookings, but it took until six minutes before the end of the game for a player to be sent off, Castilla's Aguza accumulating two yellow cards in the space of three minutes.

Los Merengues finished the game with nine men as Jose Rodriguez was also given his marching orders thanks to a second yellow with just a minute left on the clock.
