Late Cristian Benavente strike earns Real Madrid Castilla point

Real Madrid Castilla battle back to earn a point in their clash against Las Palmas B as Cristian Benavente scores in the 89th minute in their 2-2 draw.

Cristian Benavente scored an 89th-minute equaliser to earn Real Madrid Castilla a point in their clash against Las Palmas B as the game ended 2-2.

The home side took the lead in the first half when Jose Artiles did well to beat two defenders before raiding into the area and slotting an effort past Ruben Yanez.

Las Palmas doubled their advantage minutes later when Adrian Hernandez capitalised on a mistake in the Castilla backline to fire home from close range.

In the second half, Madrid brought themselves back into the game as Raul de Tomas found the net with a neat finish after carving out space for himself inside the box.

The visitors pushed for an equaliser late on as De Tomas and Alvaro Medran both missed opportunities, but they were rescued in the dying minutes when Benavente turned in Javi Munoz's cross.
