Cristiano Ronaldo vs. Juventus
Juventus 0-3 Real Madrid
April 3, 2018
Allianz Stadium
Nearly a decade on from his rocket strike against Porto, former Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo pulled off an even more audacious goal in this season's quarter-final win against Juventus.
Ronaldo had already scored early in the tie to extend his goalscoring run in the Champions League, making it 10 consecutive games that he had netted in, before beating one of the all-time great goalkeepers with a bicycle kick.
Those inside the Allianz Stadium could only get out of their seats and applaud, even if Juventus were on their way to a 3-0 first-leg loss that would ultimately kill off their hopes of progression.
Dani Carvajal produced the assist by lifting a cross in the direction of the Portuguese to do the rest, as he glided through the air and sent the acrobatic kick past Gianluigi Buffon. Cue a standing ovation for the competition's most prolific goalscorer.
