Carlo Ancelotti shocked by Real Madrid form

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti admits that he is surprised by how good his team is after extending their winning streak to 19 by beating Ludogorets Razgrad.

Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that his Real Madrid team are better than he ever imagined after beating Ludogorets Razgrad 4-0 tonight for their 19th successive win.

The Blancos ended their Champions League Group B campaign with maximum points by thumping the Bulgarian champions to set a new Spanish record for consecutive victories.

Ancelotti's side have not tasted defeat since losing 2-1 to Atletico Madrid back in September, and the Italian concedes that he is surprised by his team's imperious form.

"I couldn't have imagined in September that this team could get all these victories," he told UEFA.com.

"My relationship with the players is very good. We appreciate each other's work. This is a good moment and we must fight to make it longer."

First-half goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, after Marcelinho had been sent off for the visitors, sent the Spaniards well on their way.

Alvaro Arbeloa then added a third midway through the second half, while Alvaro Medran completed the scoring late on.
