Pepe feels harshly treated by officials

Real Madrid defender Pepe feels that he gets a raw deal from referees because of his reputation as an uncompromising centre-back.

Real Madrid defender Pepe has declared that he believes referees in La Liga do not treat him fairly.

Pepe has been booked three times so far this season and thinks that his reputation goes against him when tough calls need to be made.

"When I do a regular foul, it's like I have half-killed them," he explained, speaking to reporters.

"I feel I get a raw deal from referees."

The Portuguese international is in Jose Mourinho's squad for tomorrow night's crucial Champions League clash with Manchester City.
