UEFA have rejected Barcelona's request to have the Vicente Calderon pitch watered at the interval of tonight's Champions League quarter-final second leg against Atletico Madrid.
The Catalan outfit, who also complained about the length of the pitch, had hoped to have the pitch watered at the break in order to speed up the tempo of the match.
However, according to AS, the request was refused at a matchday meeting this morning, with UEFA regulations not requiring such activity to be undertaken.
The two sides are currently level at 1-1 from the first leg at the Camp Nou last week.
